Week 22 2024 The Old, The New and Bowood

Another trip down to Le Mans Coupes with a photoshoot of a Cobra that is coming to market soon. 

The weather was fine with the sun poking through periodically. This always causing a bit of a problem for maintaining a consistent look across the shoot. 

The challenge for this one was the car, it was finished in BMW Carbon Black colour. A deep black with blue fleck running through it. It’s stunning to look at in person but it reflects like a mirror. The option here was to shoot multiple shots using a polarising filter turned at different angles to cut the reflection on different panels. It works well and then it’s just a case of putting the layers together in photoshop. 

Porsche have updated the Taycan electric car and Porsche Centre High Wycombe unveiled it at a launch party in the dealership. An evening themed in purple and green saw cocktails and food to match along with a two piece band. Tricky lighting conditions as always, low light and mixed colours making it difficult to capture the ambience. 

This was a perfect opportunity to fly the FPV drone around the building allowing unique views of the event and in a very safe environment. 

The Sunday of this week saw my first visit to a Masters of Motoring show at Bowood House in Wiltshire. I was a fascinating election of cars in attendance and it was a pleasure shooting the event for the organisers via Carburettor & Coffee.
